چکیده

A novel experimental technique is introduced and used to measure the effect of frequency multiplication on the RF spectrum of an oscilktor. This technique makes it possible to produce the RF spectrum at X band-where measurements are relatively straightforward-that would have been produced by frequency multiplication of the 5-MHz source to any frequency from 9.2 GHz to 100 THz (lo1' He). A shpWied theory is developed and shown to reproduce the experimental results for the relative power in the carrier and noise pedestal, and the shape and the width of the carrier and noise pedestal, to within the measurement uncertainty of 2 or 3 dB. from 5 MHz to 10 TELL The calculations are easily made using analytical techniques from the measurement of the spectral density of phase fluctuations of the source, t4e effective input spectrum density and the bandwidth of the multiplier chain, and the frequency multiplication factor. It is shown that present 5-MHz-crystal-controUed oscillators ate useful 'k a precision source to -500 GHz. Suggestions for extending their range to -100 THz are made.

Depth estimation of gravity anomalies by S-transform of analytic signal

The S-transform has widely been used in the analysis of non-stationary time series. A simple method to obtain depth estimates of gravity field sources is introduced in this study. We have developed a new method based on the spectral characteristics of downward continuation to estimate depth of structures. This calculation procedure is based on replacement of the Fourier transform with the S-Tra...

قلب نگاری امپدانسی روشی برای پایش غیرتهاجمی حجم ضربه ای: یک مطالعه ی مقدماتی

Abstract Background: Impedance cardiography (ICG) is a simple and inexpensive technique for non-invasive and continues measurement of stroke volume. Due to non-invasive nature, ICG is becoming increasingly used in research and clinical applications. With regard to lack of domestic impedance cardiograph and limited similar imported products in the country, an inexpensive and portable protot...

A Time-Frequency approach for EEG signal segmentation

The record of human brain neural activities, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), is generally known as a non-stationary and nonlinear signal. In many applications, it is useful to divide the EEGs into segments within which the signals can be considered stationary. Combination of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert transform, called Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), is a new and powerful ...

Feasibility of the Application of Moment Of Inertia as a Feature to Study High-Frequency Bands in Brain Signals

Introduction Many features, emerging from mathematical techniques, have been used in the analysis of brain signals. In this study, the physical quantity of “moment of inertia” (MOI) was introduced as a feature to enhance high-frequency waves (HFWs) in electroencephalography (EEG). Materials and Methods In this research, the recorded EEGs from F3, F4, and Cz points in 20 males were used. A total...

Moiré Fringe Phase Difference Measurement Based on Spectrum Zoom Technology

Grating displacement measurement technique is an important means to achieve precise displacement measurement of nanometer scale. Moiré fringe phase difference measurement is the basis of grating displacement measurement technique. Traditional Moiré fringe subdivision method based on DFT algorithm has low frequency resolution relatively when extracting Moiré fringe fundamental frequency spectral...
